Job Description
The Production Supervisor leads daily manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, customer delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for building and leading strong teams, balancing production capacity with customer demand, and ensuring efficient execution within a high-mix, customized manufacturing environment. By driving operational excellence, developing employees, and fostering a culture of engagement and accountability, the Production Supervisor plays a critical role in achieving business objectives and delivering value to customers.
You will report to the Production Manager and work onsite in Cambridge, ON.
The is an afternoon shift, Monday-Thursday, 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and financial performance targets.
- Develop capacity plans, production forecasts, and staffing strategies to support customer demand in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team through hiring, performance management, training, and employee development.
- Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion, and transparency while addressing employee concerns fairly and in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other methodologies to eliminate waste and improve operational performance.
- Manage workforce scheduling, attendance, and resource allocation to meet production requirements and customer commitments.
- Coordinate production activities across shifts and departments to maintain workflow, balance capacity, and resolve operational issues.
- Analyze production backlogs, labor requirements, and operational metrics to optimize efficiency, productivity, and lead times.
- Monitor labor utilization, manufacturing performance, and cost drivers while identifying opportunities to improve throughput and quality.
- Maintain manufacturing systems, employee records, performance reviews, and other operational and administrative requirements.
- Lead teams through organizational and business changes while maintaining performance, engagement, and operational continuity.
- Manage departmental spending and resources in alignment with budget objectives and business conditions.
- Drive alignment between production operations, supply chain processes, and customer requirements to deliver business results.
- Establish clear goals, communicate priorities, remove barriers, and ensure execution of key initiatives and commitments.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Typically requires 1 year of previous management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Technology, or related) or Business (Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline)
- Experience in supervision/engineering in an electrical or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.
For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $72,080 - $100,000 with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
