Position Overview:
We are looking for a Manager, Game Analytics to lead our game data operations and set the standards for how we instrument, collect, and use game data across our portfolio. Our mission requires heroes with the following talents:
Double Spec: You sit comfortably at the boundary between analytics and engineering; you've designed telemetry schemas, built data pipelines, and set up analytics frameworks that helped you deliver game behavioral analyses that shaped product decisions
Builder mindset: you care about standards and reproducibility, and can translate business questions from game designers, marketers, and leadership into data solutions across game analytics topics and beyond
Bionicle Instructions manual: You're excited by the prospect of defining standards and long-lasting processes, and bring an AI-first approach to your day-to-day (automating reporting workflows, accelerating insight delivery, etc)
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and maintenance of a centralised data warehouse and analytics infrastructure that enables initiatives across Game Analytics, Market Intelligence, and other data domains within LEGO Digital Play
Design and maintain robust event-based game telemetry, translating business and product questions into technical requirements
Partner with game teams, producers, and central technology team to implement event hooks, triggers, and telemetry schemas, maintaining the QA and validation framework
Build and oversee processes that transform raw game events into analysis-ready datasets to support data visualisations and insights
Lead the creation and maintenance of automated dashboards and data exploration tools, ensuring stakeholders have timely and reliable access to key metrics
Deliver in-game behavior analyses and player segmentations that directly inform game design, live ops, and balancing decisions (incl. game economy)
Connect upstream UA and acquisition signals to in-game behavior, helping marketing teams make smart decisions about player acquisition and funnel performance
Identify opportunities to apply AI models to analytics challenges (automating reporting workflows, building agentic pipelines, delivering insights, …)
Define standards and principles for the Game Analytics team - including code versioning, Q.A. and documentation practices, … - that scale across a growing portfolio and team
Serve as the team's data steward, being accountable for data governance, lineage, and integrity of game analytics and other data assets across the organisation
Must Have Qualifications
Previous experience in analytics, preferably in the games industry at either mobile or console developers and/or publishers
Exceptional proficiency in SQL and Python, with a track record of building or contributing to production data pipelines and/or end-to-end data warehouses
Proven experience querying and manipulating large-scale datasets in cloud data warehouse environments such as Google BigQuery, Databricks, or equivalent
Experience with telemetry design and game event implementation
Proficiency with data visualisation tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
Experience with behavioural analytics, player segmentation, and live ops analytics
Nice to Have Qualifications
Experience working across multiple analytics domains (e.g. game analytics, market intelligence, marketing analytics) and comfort picking up new problem spaces outside a defined remit.
Comfort operating at the analyst / data engineer boundary, being able to make technical decisions, not just consuming data
Familiarity with UA and acquisition funnel performance measurement
Genuine interest or track record of mentoring junior members data analysts and building team practices from the ground-up
Experience working on products aimed at younger audiences or children
