Job Description

Help us get ahead of disease together with our Vaccines Business Area Internship, 2027:

Education Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG University for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship 

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English 

Internship period: January to June 2027

What will you do?  

  • Collect, compile, and analyze sustainability-related data, including energy, water, waste, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. 

  • Support monthly sustainability reporting and KPI tracking. 

  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact. 

  • Participate in sustainability projects related to energy conservation, waste management, and decarbonization. 

  • Conduct research and benchmarking on industry sustainability best practices. 

  • Support environmental awareness campaigns and employee engagement activities. 

  • Assist with documentation required for environmental compliance, sustainability audits, and reporting. 

  • Prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for management and stakeholders. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Procurement, and EHS. 

What will you learn? 

You will have opportunities to learn the following: 

  • Gain hands-on experience in sustainability management within a vaccine manufacturing environment. 

  • Exposure to ESG reporting, carbon reduction initiatives, and environmental compliance programs. 

  • Opportunity to work with site leaders and contribute to sustainability performance improvement projects.

What are we looking for?   

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools. 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Interest in environmental sustainability and the pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing industry. 

  • Knowledge of carbon accounting, energy management, or environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001). 

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
