Job Summary Surgical Tech I
The Surgical Technician I is responsible for assisting the surgeons and professional nurses in all aspects of operating room nursing.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Demonstrated competencies in sterile technique, knowledge of instrument sets, cleaning and caring for instruments and equipment and passing of instruments in surgical procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar and math skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Licensure and Certification:
- Current BLS provider card
Education:
- Completion of accredited program for surgical technicians.
Experience:
- New grad with training in the surgery tech role.
Job Summary: Surgical Tech II
The Surgical Technician II is responsible for assisting the surgeon and professional nurses in all aspects of operating room nursing and providing orientation and in-service on all specialized equipment.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current BLS provider card
Education:
- Completion of accredited program for surgical technicians.
- Minimum 15 hours CEUs annually.
Experience:
- Min. 2 years current OR experience.
- Responsible for advanced instrumentation and equipment supply and orientation of new ORTs.
Job Summary: Surgical Tech III
The Surgical Technician III has advanced certification and is responsible for assisting the surgeon and professional nurse in all aspects of operating room nursing and assists with orientation, in-service of all specialized equipment.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current BLS provider card
- Certification by an accredited agency.
Education:
- Completion of accredited program for surgical technicians.
- Minimum 15 hours CEUs annually.
Experience:
- 2 to 3 yrs current OR experience.
- Responsible for advanced instrumentation and equipment supply and orientation of new ORTs.
