Job Description

This is a unique and highly strategic role in the EU Expansion Finance team, where you will be acting as a Finance leader ("country CFO") for the Poland (PL) Store business (one of the fastest growing in Europe), working in close partnership with the PL Country Manager. You will oversee and have the ability to influence the entire Stores business across all channels (retail, 3P), operations and supply chain, managing the end-to-end Poland Store P&L. You will be responsible for all finance related topics with special focus on investment decision support, business performance management striving to grow the business while improving its profitability. As part of the role you will also own one or more functional areas (such as Selection, Marketing or other) across the broader EU Expansion space covering 5 Stores and supporting multiple country Directors + stakeholders.

Supporting new country business brings a whole range of exciting challenges covering a wide variety of topics driving customer experience, fast growth and improving profitability. It's a fast moving area with many opportunities to be creative and experiment with new approaches to drive real business impact. This role offers high levels of exposure to senior leadership (VP, SVP) across the EU and globally, with the opportunity to work closely with various cross-functional teams across business, finance, operations and accounting.

The minimum base pay salary for this position is listed below. Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher base salary, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include further pay components such as a sign on payment and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Your recruiting team will share final base pay and any applicable total compensation elements depending on skills and requirements. Company discretionary, supplementary benefits apply subject to further terms, including pension plans, health insurance, life and disability insurance, business travel insurance, MultiSport card, employee discount code and program (EDC/Extras), commuter benefits where applicable, and the Employee Assistance Program (private and confidential counselling and referral service to support health and well-being).The minimum base pay for this position is PLN 15417 monthly.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with the Country manager and their leadership team to drive strategy, and initiatives supporting growth and profitability of the Store
- Support senior leadership (VP+) with top quality storytelling/commentary and financial insights through a number of existing weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review mechanisms.
- Lead deep dives on various topics, and generate business insights to support executive-level reporting and decision-making.
- Support investment decisions through preparing high quality analysis and business cases
- Drive AI and automation initiatives to improve financial processes and enhance interpersonal effectiveness
- Responsibility / opportunity to coach, develop and work closely with several analysts within the team

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results, or experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, or experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions
- Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A (at multinational organisation.)
- English B2+ language proficiency

- Masters degree, MBA and/or a chartered accountancy certification
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools
- Experience working with visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience in leveraging AI for process automation and interpersonal effectiveness
