Position Overview

This Office Administrator/ Scale Operator role supports daily grain facility operations through a combination of administrative, customer‑facing, and scale house responsibilities in a fast‑paced agricultural environment. The position includes operating the scale to manage inbound and outbound truck traffic, performing grain grading and sampling, and handling ticketing, documentation, and payment processing with accuracy. This role also supports merchant and logistics functions by maintaining contracts, tracking shipments, and communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Employees must be able to manage multiple priorities, especially during peak and harvest seasons, while providing strong service and attention to detail. This position is ideal for dependable, motivated individuals who are comfortable balancing office and operational tasks, communicate effectively, and take ownership in a dynamic, customer‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain files, documents and system/database data, and produce requested reports
  • Follow standard procedures in conducting assigned processes.  Complete all necessary steps, documentation, systems entry, and filing to ensure proper completion.
  • Assist with projects as assigned
  • Scale room operation of weighing inbound and outbound trucks
  • Performing quality tests on inbound and outbound grain loads

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 0-2 years’ relevant experience required
