YOUR ROLE
As a Supply Chain Planner within our Contract Logistics team at Rosedale AKL, you’ll support a major telecommunications customer, helping ensure handsets, modems, SIM cards and related products reach stores and channel partners at the right time and in the right quantities.
This customer-facing role spans demand and replenishment planning, inventory analysis, production planning and new product introductions. You’ll interpret customer demand, identify supply chain risks and provide practical recommendations on inventory, replenishment and purchase planning.
The role offers hybrid working and requires regular attendance at the customer’s central Auckland office and CEVA’s Wiri warehouse, generally one day at each location every two weeks. Applicable parking and kilometre expenses will be reimbursed.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Develop demand, replenishment and fulfilment plans across multiple retail and distribution channels
- Analyse demand signals, inventory trends, safety stock levels, stock availability and distribution centre inventory
- Support promotional forecasting, seasonal demand and new product launches, including constrained stock allocation and initial channel fills
- Coordinate production plans with CEVA’s warehouse and production teams, ensuring activity aligns with customer priorities and delivery requirements
- Monitor inventory health and recommend actions to address stock-outs, overstock, slow-moving inventory and supply risks
- Provide analysis and guidance to the customer regarding inventory levels, replenishment requirements and purchase planning
- Maintain regular communication regarding stock positions, production progress, ETAs, operational issues and emerging risks
- Investigate performance issues, identify root causes and work with operational stakeholders to implement recovery and improvement plans
- Track agreed actions and provide clear progress updates until operational performance stabilises
- Build effective relationships with the customer’s retail operations and supply chain planning teams and CEVA’s warehouse, production and planning teams.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Sound experience in supply chain planning, including demand, replenishment, inventory or production planning
- Broad understanding of demand planning, safety stock, distribution centre inventory, warehouse activity and product availability
- Experience supporting multiple retail, sales or distribution channels within a high-SKU or fast-moving environment
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Experience with ERP, inventory or planning systems; JDE / Blue Yonder experience is advantageous
- Strong customer focus, stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to influence customer and operational stakeholders without direct authority
- Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis capability with a continuous improvement mindset.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
