Job Description

JOB GOAL:
To assist children safely through street intersections and to monitor vehicle traffic.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School education preferred.
  2. Able to lift required amounts.
  3. Experience working with children.
  4. Work harmoniously with children.
  5. Ability to communicate with teachers and parents.
  6. Good physical condition with emphasis on sight and hearing.
  7. First aide training preferred.
  8. Must pass a background clearance
  9. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  181 Days; 9 Months
COMPENSATION:  Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position
BENEFITS:  As per QCUSD District policy
REPORTS TO:  Principal
HOURS:  7.5 per week - Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.-3:15 p.m.
CLASSIFICATION:  Hourly, Non-exempt


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Places traffic signs where necessary.
  2. Walks students through crosswalk where necessary.
  3. Monitors student use of line crosswalks.
  4. Reports violators, both pedestrians and vehicles.
  5. Knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations and rules.
  6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
  7. Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, as well as to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
 
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
