Technical Operations/Maintenance
Technical Operations includes the maintenance and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams, and more.
Job Overview and Responsibilities
This role is focused on driving advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives within the Technical Operations organization to improve operational efficiency, predictive maintenance, and decision-making.
The position will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models and data-driven solutions, while supporting business-critical analytics and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead machine learning initiatives by developing, training, and deploying supervised and unsupervised models to solve complex operational problems (e.g., predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, root cause analysis).
Apply advanced analytical techniques, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and generative AI, to extract insights from large, complex datasets.
Design and build scalable data pipelines and ML workflows using tools such as Python and PySpark.
Perform deep data exploration and feature engineering to identify patterns, relationships, and operational drivers across high-volume, high-dimensional datasets.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational problems into data science solutions and actionable insights.
Build automated Power BI dashboards and visualization layers to communicate model outputs and business insights effectively.
Conduct ad-hoc data mining and advanced analytics to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Evaluate and improve data quality by developing protocols for data cleaning, validation, and governance.
Support development of operational metrics and performance frameworks driven by analytical and ML outputs

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
3–4 years of experience in Machine Learning / Advanced Analytics / Data Science roles
Strong hands-on experience in Python and SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis
Proven experience with machine learning techniques (supervised, unsupervised, model validation, feature engineering)
Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., PySpark, Databricks)
Proficiency in building data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI.
Strong analytical thinking with ability to identify patterns, trends, and root causes
Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Teradata)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aviation, maintenance analytics, or industrial operations
Exposure to predictive maintenance or anomaly detection use cases
