What we are looking for: Grammer is looking for an Operator team member to join our location in Delphos, OH. This is a seasonal role that can start as early as May and work up to through September 30th The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team! What you will be doing: This person is responsible for producing quality products either on an assembly line or operating an injection mold press. What you will be doing: Usual and General Duties Operate a forklift. Handle racks and banding of parts. Stock parts to assembly line or press (including raw material, components, etc.). Inspect parts to meet customer quality standards (per operator instructions) Help move equipment and part set-up during process change. Break operators as needed. Follow written operator process instruction sheets. Account and record production and scrap counts. Use hand tools including: knives, nippers, and torque guns. Maintain production speed on or in support of assembly line/customer requirements. Pack parts into boxes with accurate counts of pieces per layer/box/skid (per operator instructions). Maintain plant and area cleanliness. Complete the appropriate paperwork (e.g. forklift checklist, lot traceability paperwork, production paperwork, mold change/changeover checklist, etc.). Print rack labels for shift production, unless directed otherwise. Assist with monitoring component and end item inventory. Notify supervisor of concerns (e.g. low inventory, high inventory, no parts, etc.). Assist with making mold changes by checking inventory on part(s) currently in press(es) and on part(s) going into press(es) and reporting to supervisor. Complete appropriate control plan requirements. Support operators remove all old labels from empty containers before placing them at the press/work cell. Support operators will inspect the containers and dunnage for damage. Molding support operators label all containers and initial the label before moving them from the press/work cell to the warehouse. This includes containers of banked or rejected parts. Upon cell / mold change, support operators will fill out and affix PARTIAL label to all partial component boxes prior to placing them back on the component shelves. Other supervisor directed tasks.
