Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab
Job Description
The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for the development and enhancement of comprehensive cardiovascular rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and related programs for CardioVascular Wellness Services that meet established AACVPR, AHA and ACSM standards. Clinical responsibilities include initial patient assessment and evaluation, providing instruction on and monitoring of exercise therapy, development and consultation of exercise prescriptions, exercise and risk factor modification education both in the classroom and individually, and documentation and communication with referring physicians including initial assessment and patient progress in the program. Administrative responsibilities include working with and directly supervising student interns. The Exercise Physiologist serves as a resource to the multidisciplinary team in matters relating to exercise, exercise prescription, and risk factor modification.
