Overview:
- The Manager – Blue Yonder WMS IT Applications is responsible for scaling a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Blue Yonder Warehouse Management solutions. This role drives solution standardization, accelerates implementations, enhances delivery quality, and builds deep WMS capabilities across migration programs. The role combines domain expertise, delivery leadership, solution architecture, and capability building.
Scope:
1. CoE Strategy & Governance
- Operationalize the Blue Yonder WMS CoE vision, framework, and roadmap.
- Establish reusable assets, accelerators, templates, and best practices.
- Drive governance across implementations, ensuring adherence to architecture standards and design principles.
- Create delivery playbooks for implementations, rollouts, migrations & testing.
2. Solution Leadership & Architecture
- Act as a solution authority for Blue Yonder WMS across engagements.
- Review and approve solution designs, configurations, and integrations.
- Provide guidance on:
- Inbound, outbound, inventory, and wave planning processes
- Labor management and slotting optimization
- Warehouse automation integration (ASRS, robotics, conveyors)
- Ensure scalable, high-performance solution architectures.
3. Delivery Excellence
- Provide oversight across multiple WMS implementations and support programs.
- Ensure high-quality delivery, minimizing rework and defects through standardization.
- Partner with program managers to manage scope, risks, and dependencies.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and go-live readiness assessments.
4. Capability & Talent Development
- Build and grow a high-performing WMS competency team.
- Define skill development frameworks, certification paths, and training programs.
- Mentor architects, leads, and consultants on Blue Yonder WMS capabilities.
- Drive hiring strategy aligned to CoE growth objectives.
What you will do:
- Defines success factors and identifies critical team goals and objectives.
- Regularly assesses each team’s readiness (skills, capacity, capability), developing appropriate action plans to ensure business success.
- Provides coaching, feedback, and guidance to associates to ensure their successful contribution to Blue Yonder.
- Ensures that associate(s) adhere to Blue Yonder policies, procedures, methodologies, and quality. Ensures that consultant development plans are being defined and executed on.
- Drives the teamwork necessary to resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. Promotes, builds, and maintains a sense of community.
- Manages semi-annual performance review process for Consulting Managers and Directors.
- Drive recommendations in support of salary/promotion process and holds discussions, as necessary.
- Assist in staffing/resource allocation processes. Works with Practice Leadership to plan long-term project resource requirements.
- Manages utilization at the group level (supply and demand matching).
- Works with the Global Delivery counterparts on Practice Alignment
- Demonstrated experience presenting and interfacing with other stakeholders from PD, PMG, JDAU, support
- Drives to deliver high quality implementations within the team and improve overall customer satisfaction for Blue Yonder Services.
- Provides an escalation point for delivery issues
- Supports Campaign and Business Development process for Consulting Practice. Supports Product Launch process for new products and versions.
What we are looking for:
- 12 to 16 years of IT experience with:
- 7+ years in Warehouse Management Systems
- 5+ years in Blue Yonder WMS (JDA Dispatcher / MOCA / WMS)
- 3 to 5 years in leadership / CoE / practice roles
- Proven experience in multi-site/global WMS implementations
