About the Role
In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for automation and material handling systems within the Distribution Center. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing automated equipment to ensure operational reliability, system uptime, and efficient product flow. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, IT, Engineering, and external vendors, you will identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implement automation solutions, andsupport critical controls technologies that drive distribution center performance

What You'll Do
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting automated material handling equipment (MHE), controls systems, and facility product flow.
- Support and maintain Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial scanners, vision systems, and related automation technologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Develop and execute testing strategies for automation enhancements, system upgrades, and process improvements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external service providers to support automation projects and operational initiatives.
- Review technical requirements and contribute to solution design, implementation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Drive a culture of innovation, reliability, and operational excellence through the effective use of automation technologies.
Who You Are
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial automation, controls, and material handling equipment in a distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs, with Siemens PLC experience,
considered an asset. - Experience supporting Ignition HMI/SCADA systems, Cognex vision systems, barcode scanners, and industrial controls technologies.
- Experience with viewing and editing AutoCAD drawings.
