Position Summary:
The Medical Technologist performs diagnostic testing and analysis on patient samples to support physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various health conditions. This role involves collecting and preparing specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and performing automated and manual tests on blood and other bodily fluids. The Medical Technologist ensures accuracy and reliability of test results through strict adherence to quality assurance protocols and organizational standards, documenting and reporting findings to clinical staff for patient care decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- License: Medical Technologist License through ASCP or AMT Preferred; Licensure to reflect education requirement
- Required Skills: requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
