Sale Creek Middle/High School (SCMHS) is a 6–12 school just north of Chattanooga, serving a close-knit rural community. Supported by families, alumni, and local businesses, we take pride in offering big opportunities in a small-school setting.
Our programs include competitive athletics, a growing band, a top-performing JROTC (with one-third of students participating), eLab access, eCars, and a wide range of dual enrollment college-level courses. Through our Future Ready Institute, students explore pathways in Construction, Engineering, and Marketing, earning industry certifications and gaining hands-on experience through projects like building and marketing Tiny Houses.

Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
- Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
- Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
- Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
- Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection

- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
- Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth
- Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus
- Passion for supporting the whole child academically and socially
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Tennessee teaching license in Social Studies 6-8, 6-12 Social Studies OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
Compensation & Additional Info:
- Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
- Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
