Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Cost Coordinator to work at its offices in Lima, Peru.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for preparing estimates and budgets and monitoring them throughout all project phases
- Coordination and review of the work performed by the team responsible for the extraction of quantities from Revit models, elaboration of Bill of Quantities, unit price analysis and construction cost estimates for large and complex projects.
- Must also be a hands on performer for the above described responsibilities.
- Work together with Cost team to elaborate Cost Estimates using data bases of pricing or other data sources.
- Work together with the Design team to produce specifications in different formats as required.
- Work together to Design team and other disciplines to produce different technical documents necessary to complete de design package.
- Ability to interface with all levels.
- Knowledge of AACE, PMI, and PMBOK methodologies
- Ability to interact with main suppliers to get quotation for services, equipment and materials
- Develop and maintain unit cost databases for construction projects, using local sources
- Ability to handle and resolve conflicts professionally and tactfully.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work in a team environment and under supervision.
- Ability to analyze budgets, S curves, Cash flow.
- Prepare CAPEX for construction packages
- Cost management using KPIs based on SPI and CPI indicators, Earned Value
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in building engineering (or a related field) + 6 years of experience, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, BIM 360, Presto, S10, and Cost-It applied to large infrastructure, construction, or transportation projects.
- Experience in Quantity Take-Off (QTO) related to BIM models, including multidisciplinary coordination on large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., rail, hospitals, airports, commercial development, metro, or urban development).
- Working knowledge of industry-standard planning and scheduling software, such as MS Project, Primavera P6, and Navisworks.
- Intermediate proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree/Building Engineer + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with10 years of experience in costs, quantity take off (QTO) including BIM data extraction areas.
- 5 years of experience coordinating/supervising technical staff on QTO using BIM models and costs calculation.
- BIM Master
- Knowledge of international WBS standards.
- Project costs and QTO approval process with the Peruvian government.
- Calculation and preparation of OPEX
- Construction on-site supervision experience.
