Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on QA Engineer to join our Credit Technology team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of backend trading systems, APIs, and UI applications through a combination of manual and automated testing.
You will play a key role in validating complex end-to-end trading workflows, including distributed services, event-driven systems, and user interfaces (desktop and web). While contributing to automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, you are expected to remain deeply involved in hands-on testing, debugging, and defect analysis.

Role Responsibilities
Testing & Quality Assurance
Perform exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and system testing for middle‑office and post‑trade applications.
Design, write, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
Validate REST APIs, backend services, integrations, and event‑driven systems, including messaging architectures built on message queue
Participate in defining and executing capacity, load, and performance test scenarios.
Analyse system logs, configurations, databases, and runtime data to confirm expected behaviour and diagnose defects.
Automation & CI/CD
Contribute to the design, enhancement, and maintenance of automation testing frameworks.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS DevOps).
Improve test coverage, execution speed, resilience, and test data reliability across environments.
Defect Management & Production Support
Identify, report, triage, and track defects throughout the bug lifecycle (bug advocacy).
Perform root‑cause analysis for test failures and production issues.
Serve as second‑ or third‑tier support for production issues impacting middle‑office and post‑trade workflows.
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product owners, vendors, and end‑users to understand business requirements and operational flows.
Communicate test plans, scenarios, execution results, risks, and quality metrics clearly.
Promote strong quality engineering practices.
Experience / Competences
Essential
Extensive experience in Software Quality Assurance (manual and automation).
Strong proficiency in C# or similar OO language for automated testing.
Solid experience with SQL and Linux‑based environments.
Strong understanding of test design techniques; test scripting and automation; defect analysis, reporting, and tracking; QA methodologies and best practices.
Experience testing backend systems, APIs, and distributed or microservice‑based platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation of test plans and results.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and iterative (Agile) delivery models.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, delivery‑driven environment.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and self‑direction.
Desired
Experience testing financial systems (middle‑office, post‑trade, trade life‑cycle and reconciliations).
Experience testing event‑driven and messaging systems, including Solace PubSub+, Kafka, RabbitMQ/AMQP, or MQTT.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Git.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with performance, load, or resilience testing.
Familiarity with BDD tools (Behave, Cucumber).
Experience using AI‑assisted testing or QA automation tools.
