Job Overview
Warwick Investment Group is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to assist in the planning and development of its Eagle Ford assets. Today, Warwick has the fifth largest core Eagle Ford Shale inventory, based on Enverus data, and has been active in the Eagle Ford since 2014. The primary responsibility of the role is to unlock incremental value from the portfolio through the development and optimization of existing drilling inventory while also contributing to the evaluation of new opportunities to enhance the existing assets. OPPORTUNITY
Warwick is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer responsible for enhancing the value of Warwick’s existing operated Eagle Ford basin position. This includes optimizing development plans for Warwick’s undeveloped acreage, diagnosing existing well performance, developing refrac projects and reviewing the base production.
With a strong commitment to maximizing asset value, the Reservoir Engineer will conduct technical evaluations of prospects and producing properties to generate project-level economic evaluations for capital expenditure and new acquisitions and present findings to the investment committee for approval.
The position will work closely with Warwick’s integrated technical team including production engineering, completions, land, geology and development implementation teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain type curves across the asset and basin
- Collaborate with Geology, Land, and Operations on drill schedule timing/planning, well readiness, and technical reviews
- Collaborate with Completions team on optimal completions design and techniques
- Conduct PDP well monitoring: maintain production forecast, monitor downtime and forecast variance. Communicate with production engineers on regular basis
- Assist in route reviews and help identify AFL install or conversion candidates; perform workover economics as needed
- Identify, evaluate, and propose refrac candidates
- Design, implement, and appraise choke management flowback strategy utilizing technical analysis and modeling in Whitson+
- Perform post appraisals to assess both economic and technical success or failures. Identify and communicate opportunities for future optimization.
- Create technical materials for IC review
- Identify and evaluate bolt on acquisition opportunities, nonop elections, and acreage solicitations
- Conduct offset operator reviews and monitor basin trends
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering
- 5+ years of reservoir engineering experience in unconventional development with recent Eagle Ford Basin experience preferred
- Must have demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams with a proven record as a strong team player and self-starter with the aptitude to innovate and be open to new ideas.
- Experience in field development and optimization
- Demonstrable proficiency with Aries petroleum economic and forecasting software, Combocurve and Whitson experience a plus
- Ability to navigate access databases, familiarity with SQL
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from multiple departments and disciplines at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to develop and make presentations to senior management as required.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to problems.
