Level 2 - Maintenance Semi Skilled (Wknd Fri, Sat, Sun - 12hrs)

Job Title: Level 1 – Maintenance  

Job Summary: 

Under the supervisor and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, perform tasks related to outdoor property maintenance, indoor facility maintenance and assist janitorial staff as required.  

Responsibility: 

•  Manage outdoor maintenance including  

• Shoveling snow 

• Salting the parking lots, laneways, sidewalks and yard  

• Cutting grass 

• Landscaping  

• Manage indoor facility maintenance including: 

• Painting  

• Floor scrubber  

• Operate floor scrubber, lawn mower, Mobile Elevated Work Platform (with license), maintenance cart and forklift.  

• Maintain equipment in a safe and clean manner. 

• Ability to close work orders (RFM’s) using the maintenance computer system  

• Provide back-up support to Janitorial staff, as needed.  

• Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing or equivalent working environment (an asset) 

• Ability to use basic hand tools, painting tools, and measuring tools  

• Ability to work in various weather conditions (outdoors)  

• Certification in MEWP (3a and 3b) – comfortable working at heights  

• Attend training as required  

Academic/Educational Requirements: 

•  Highschool diploma or equivalent experience  

Required Skills/Experience: 

•  Experience in a manufacturing or equivalent working environment (an asset) 

• Ability to use basic hand tools, painting tools, and measuring tools  

• Ability to work in various weather conditions (outdoors)  

• Certification in MEWP (3a and 3b) – comfortable working at heights  

• Attend training as required
