Job Description
Perform research activities in support of independent and collaborative projects investigating neural circuitry related to mouse behavioral assays. Assist with executing experiments using established methods and tools to manipulate and measure neural activity, following defined protocols and guidance. Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data using standard techniques and procedures. Interpret results at a basic level to support research objectives and assist with documenting findings in accordance with lab standards. Collaborate with undergraduate students on projects by demonstrating routine laboratory techniques, lab procedures and safety guidelines. Working with mice in a research setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of neuroscience principles, particularly related to neural circuitry and behavior. Familiarity with standard laboratory practices, safety procedures, research compliance guidelines. Basic data collection, organization, and record-keeping skills. Ability to work both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within a research team. Attention to detail in performing experiments and recording data.
