Local/Regional CDL Driver A

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Get ready to hit the road while keeping safety first! Fresh2U Transportation is seeking a Local/Regional CDL A Driver who will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of products. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility, knowledge and adherence to DOT guidelines, and maintenance of HOS logs.  

JOB DUTIES:

• Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety driving policies
• Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) as required
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks, such as replacing lights and wiper blades, topping off oil, etc.
• Accurately maintain and submit daily Hours of Service (HOS) logs on the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) in compliance with Federal DOT, State, and company regulations
• Ensure timely delivery of products within the driver's control
• Occasionally load and secure cargo onto trailers with precision and care
• Safely unload products ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer requirement
• Pick up and return empty carts
• Complete and submit all required paperwork upon returning from deliveries, including trip reports, logs, Bills of Lading (BOLs), etc.
• Participate in driver safety meetings and complete required training assignments
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• 25+ years of age
• Valid Class A CDL
• 5+ years of verifiable driving experience
• Maximum of 2 points on MVR
• No more than 1 chargeable accident in the past 3 years
• No DUI/DWI or any alcohol or drug related convictions within the past 5 years
• No license suspension/disqualification for traffic convictions within the past 3 years
• Command of the English language. Command of the Spanish language is a plus
• The ability to be flexible and interface professionally with all levels of drivers, customers, and/or colleagues
• Must be able to work independently while also following direction when given
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS:

• CDL Class A license required
• Plant/Production facility, occasionally outside, or in-store; Possible extreme heat/cold dependent on season
• Continuously requires ability to follow verbal and/or written direction
• Frequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200lbs), bending, and crouching
• Occasionally requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing, and handling
• Basic proficiency with technology is required
• May require ability to operate machinery, drive vehicles (truck, car, van, tug, forklift), or use equipment such as hand tools, computers, or general business equipment
