What you will do

The Senior People Operations Specialist (Germany / Workday) (m/f/d) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of employee data in Workday throughout the employee lifecycle. This role manages and processes employee job changes—including promotions, demotions, and lateral moves—ensuring updates are completed correctly and on time in alignment with People Operations policies and business as well as local legal requirements.

What you will do 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process job changes, personal data changes, work schedule changes, contract type changes  and and other informational updates to employee records throughout the employee life cycle
  • Assure appropriate approvals and accuracy/completeness of data
  • Handle complex and/or confidential inquiries and assume ownership of transferred issues
  • Ensure great cooperation with the German Works Council, through smoothly handling of the weekly Works Council hearing management process
  • Provide requested information regarding service bridging, employment verifications, and related matters according to established procedures
  • Ensure all companies, local, and other applicable compliance requirements are met
  • Provide support for local employee document management
  • Review and maintain HR services documentations (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Process Maps, SIPOC) to ensure complete, accurate, and up-to-date depiction of processes
  • Supporting variety of People Solutions related requests and processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle in accordance with existing process documentation and HR policies globally
  • Play active part in Global/Regional Projects based on country requirements
  • Drive integrated Workday solutions and seamless process flows for PS function

 

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience and/or education in HR (i.e., understanding of employee lifecycle, People Data Management, Payroll, labor legislation, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HR processes, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Previous experience in a shared services environment
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and devise effective solutions
  • Capable of assessing urgency and managing tasks accordingly
  • Skilled in meeting deadlines and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Proficient in negotiating with various departments
  • Ability to excel in a team-based environment, demonstrating customer service and teamwork
  • Knowledge of Workday, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Applications
  • Fluency in German and English

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic experience in German employment law / regulatory
  • Any other EU language skill is a plus
  • Workday EIB mass upload experience is a plus
