Job Description

About Praetorian Power Protection

Praetorian Power Protection is a leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation for the mission-critical industry. We specialize in providing elite technical oversight to ensure the reliability and safety of high-value power infrastructure.

Job Summary

In this field-heavy role, you will ensure that all electrical installations—performed by various contractors—meet stringent safety, quality, and design specifications. This position requires a unique blend of deep technical electrical expertise, rigorous documentation habits, and professional diplomacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Inspections & Validations: Perform daily walk-throughs of the "Fab" to inspect critical electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, UPS systems, transformers, and distribution panels.

  • Third-Party Representation: Act as a neutral, professional representative for Praetorian. Interface directly with electrical contractors to identify deficiencies, manage Punch Lists, and verify successful resolutions.

  • Testing Oversight: Witness and validate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Coordinate closely with Commissioning (Cx) teams to ensure a seamless project handoff.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Execute and manage comprehensive QA/QC checklists. Ensure all "As-Built" drawings accurately reflect site conditions and comply with NEC, NFPA 70E, and SEMI guidelines.

  • Reporting: Generate detailed daily and weekly quality reports for key stakeholders, proactively highlighting risks, schedule delays, or non-conforming work.

  • Safety Leadership: Ensure all contracted work adheres to the highest industry safety standards within a live-power environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–7 years of specialized experience in Electrical QA/QC, Commissioning (Cx), or as a Project Engineer/Superintendent

  • Technical Background: Strong mastery of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. Must be proficient in reading one-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.

  • Soft Skills: Must be assertive yet professional. As a representative of Praetorian’s reputation, you must be able to hold contractors accountable to high quality and safety standards.

  • Certifications: A Journeyman or Master Electrician license, NETA certification, or an Engineering degree (BSEE) is a significant plus.

Why Join Praetorian Power Protection?

  • High-Impact Projects: Lead mission-critical infrastructure projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Supportive Culture: Thrive in a collaborative team culture that values field-proven leadership.

  • Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a robust salary and benefits package.

  • Guaranteed Hours: Work a guaranteed 50-hour week (includes 10 hours of built-in overtime).

  • Per Diem: Benefit from 7 days of per diem per week for travel-based assignments.
