This Position reports to:

Business Manager - Commercial and Operations


 

In this role you will lead inventory management, robot spare parts supply planning, procurement, and resource management in the distribution center to support local Sales organization. Drive planning initiatives to improve customer on-time delivery and lead time, ensuring adherence to inventory and supply plan. Manage a team of planners to execute the fulfillment of customer service parts orders from inventory or through procurement.

This role is: Onsite/Hybrid in Auburn Hills, MI

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provides visibility of supply capacity and local supply objectives into the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and provides feedback on site's ability to support the demand plan.

  • Runs a short-term planning process or Sales & Operation Execution (S&OE) process, ensuring seamless alignment between planning and execution. Coordinates an appropriate response to unplanned events.

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing tariff mitigation strategies, such as free trade agreements, duty drawback, reconciliation, and similar cost-reduction programs.

  • Supports the profitable execution of customer orders, in coordination with business functions and Supply units (feeder factories) and leads regular discussions with Supply units on inbound issues, planning parameters, reverse logistics, etc.

  • Leads/contributes to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead time, inventory, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy.

  • Advanced expertise in U.S. customs regulations, including customs valuation, HTS classification, country of origin determination, and import compliance requirements. Responsible for the Section 232 tariffs changes.

  • Provides local leadership for the development of best practices in planning systems and integrated ERPs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, and 5 years’ experience in Inventory Planning, Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience managing a team of material planners.
  • Continuous improvement to benefit customer and cost efficiencies.
