Job Description

The Center for Youth: Started BY YOUTH FOR YOUTH. We partner with youth to realize their full potential, by creating opportunities, removing barriers and promoting social justice.

Overview:

The Re-engaging Teens Restoring Justice Program will focus on youth ages 14-19, who have dropped out/ are at risk of dropping out of school, have been released from/ are participants in the juvenile justice system, are struggling with homelessness and food insecurity, and whose connections with meaningful adults are lacking.

Transitional Navigators are part of a community-based team and are assigned to a specific focus area including: school-based programs, runaway and homeless youth programs, teen court/juvenile justice programs, community engagement/teen empowerment or workforce/gun violence prevention programs.

Schedule: Full time, 35 hours per week. 12-month position.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a restorative-based system
  • Create and oversee data collection and program evaluation processes
  • Provide monthly reports to the Associate Director
  • Coordinate requests for Prevention Education services
  • Outreach and information dissemination
  • Referral and referral readiness
  • Immediate response and support
  • Prevention education
  • Social/emotional support services
  • Case management
  • Immediate crisis response
  • Asset development activities
  • Transitional services

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or related field AND 1-3 years' related experience OR equivalent combination / Master's Degree preferred
  • A valid drivers license

Skills:

  • Strong crisis response skills
  • Case management skills

Pay Rate: $22- $24.75 per hour
