Job Description
Position Summary
The Business Coordinator serves as an adjunct to the Practice Manager/Medical Director. He/she oversee the operations within the site(s)s to ensure that daily functions within the office are maintained and that patient flow is smooth. The Office Coordinator exercises a high degree of judgment and discretion in performing both routine and complex tasks. This position is responsible for assisting the Practice Manager/Director with multiple locations across the Healthcare System. Available to cover other administrative support staff and duties as needed. This position has a high degree of visibility when interacting with internal and external customers. Assists with escalated patient and provider questions/concerns. Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education
· High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience
· Three years office experience

Core Job Responsibilities
· Monthly general inspection of departments/locations
· Updates Department forms
· Responsible for Communication Board updates as assigned
· Assists with Provider PME check request for multiple departments as assigned
· Maintain licensure and certification documents for multiple providers as assigned
· Maintain annual requirements for multiple providers
· Assist with staff meetings
· Supports management in quality programs when applicable
· Meet with patients and providers to resolve errors, complaints, misunderstandings
· Supervises non-clinical employees as assigned
· Conducts monthly cash drawer audits as assigned
· Oversees denials and referrals as assigned
· Assists manager in rounding with employees as assigned
· Assists manager in employee time-keeping responsibilities as assigned
· Assists the Practice Manager with hiring, counseling, evaluation, and termination of employees; as assigned.
· Special projects as assigned related to practice and department management
