Position Overview:
Our Project Designer - Land Development will work in alignment with the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer to support final delivery of key client deliverables for large commercial developments. The primary focus of this position will involve providing day to day support on site layout, grading, and full construction site coordination/design.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare accurate presentation, design, and construction documents using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the project team, including engineers, architects, designers, consultants, and clients.
- Interpret relevant codes, regulations, and client requirements to guide the design process.
- Implement and utilize established CAD standards, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
- Calculate quantities, areas, and other essential data necessary for land development civil engineering designs.
- Travel periodically to perform site investigations, take measurements, and observe construction progress, followed by the preparation of detailed reports and exhibits.
- Assist in compiling construction plans from all disciplines and ensure timely submission to agencies with jurisdiction.
- Focuses on developing detailed technical drawings and designs, calculating material quantities, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Works closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure that all designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Suite software’s and drafting techniques are a MUST.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience in Commercial, Retail, Restaurant, and Industrial projects is a plus.
- Adaptable and receptive to instruction from others.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
- Associate’s Degree or Computer - Aided Design Certificate
