Reporting to the Business Enablement Services Controller, the Manager, Business Enablement Services - Finance will be a business partner to Information Technology Services and provide monthly reporting, financial planning, forecasting and other complex analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
What you will do
- Work with the BES Controller to identify and present long-term or short term financial and business issues based on current and forecasted trends and recommend solutions relating to Information Technology Services.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of management reports, financial statements, estimates, summaries and other financial analyses and use such reports to identify areas of concern or interest to the leadership of Information Technology Services.
- Act as a resource and advisor; providing financial analysis and advice on the implementation of programs, meeting business objectives and achieving results within approved budgets, including meeting with individual leaders to assist in the review of results and the preparation of quarterly review packages.
- Work with Information Technology Services in developing annual budgets and forecasts, providing insight on potential areas of interest or concern. Plan, organize direct and control the finance operations.
- Support the coordination, creation and analysis of monthly reports to track ITS Managed projects and capitalization of Deferred Development Projects.
- Collaborate and provide support on annual budgets, forecast and analyses to the Manager, Financial Analysis supporting Local Office Administration (LOA), with regards to nationally incurred charges for Telecom and Technology related capital purchases.
- Performance manager: provide technical training, mentoring, guidance in areas of career development, performance issues and goal setting that aligns with the Finance and overall Firm priorities.
What you bring to the role
- Accounting designation CPA or equivalent and accounting management experience, preferably in a professional services environment
- A finance professional with at least 5 years of experience with strong experience in variance analysis
- Experience in coaching, developing and managing direct reports
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills - the candidate should be able to quickly establish strong relationships with stakeholder individuals and groups at all levels across KPMG
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and report to multiple stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
- Experience in a technology environment or supporting an information technology team an asset (license management, software related reporting, etc)
- Experience of the above in a large, matrix environment is advantageous
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel (emphasis on pivot tables and processing large amounts of data quickly)
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP or Hyperion an asset
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
