Machinist

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the machinist must be able to set up and operate manual lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, vertical turret lathes, radial arm drills and drill presses with little to no guidance from the supervisor after receipt of job packet. Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Study specifications, such as blueprints, sketch, or description of part to be replaced, and plan sequence of operations
