The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Design & Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced Level) to support our Commercial Modifications Engineering team in Long Beach, CA.
We are looking for team members with knowledge of engineering principles in design, analysis, and certification, to contribute to the growth of the modifications sector of Boeing Long Beach.
As a part of the ECS team, you will be working on components and systems that directly affect the safety of airline passengers. You will also be an integral part of supporting modifications of all in-service Boeing Commercial Airplane models to meet our customers' needs. Position Responsibilities:
- Supports development and documentation of aircraft Environmental Control System analysis and architecture (air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, cargo fire protection, nitrogen generating system, ice/rain protection, etc.)
- Assesses complex system events to determine potential safety issues, utilizing airplane function integration at the system and component level
- Contributes to development of hardware, software, system performance requirements, part kit definition, analytical methods, and certification of various airplane system installations new and existing
- Works directly with airline customers and multiple, cross-functional teams to ensure effective system integration and customer satisfaction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 1+ years experience working in an Engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
- Masters degree or higher
- Knowledge of Boeing design, certification, and engineering principles
- Ability to work with multiple team functions
- Experience with engineering disciplines related to aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis, including compressible/incompressible fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, physical chemistry, systems engineering, and/or computational fluid dynamics

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $90,950 - $123,050
Summary Pay Range for Experienced level (Level 3): $111,350 - $150,650
