Job Description
Finance & Operations Manager — Brazil
Location: São Paulo, Brazil (on-site) Type: Full-time
🌍 About Outpost
Outpost is cross-border commerce infrastructure, built by veterans of Revolut, Adyen, Airwallex, and Wayflyer. We operate dedicated local entities across 58 jurisdictions, giving enterprise merchants access to local acquiring, alternative payment methods, and full tax compliance — through a single integration. We handle the local complexity so merchants can focus on growth.
We operate a dedicated legal entity in Brazil and are growing fast. This is a foundational hire for our Brazilian operations.
🏗️ The role
You will be the on-the-ground owner of Outpost's Brazilian entity — responsible for keeping it compliant, financially healthy, and operationally sharp. This is a hands-on role that spans accounting, tax compliance, and day-to-day operations. You will work closely with our global ops and finance teams, and with external advisors including our Brazilian legal counsel.
📋 What you'll do
🧾 Finance & Tax Compliance
Own all statutory accounting and financial reporting for the Brazilian entity
Manage tax filings and compliance obligations: SPED, DCTF, EFD-Contribuições, ISS, PIS/COFINS, IRPJ/CSLL
Oversee NFS-e and NF-e e-invoicing obligations under Brazil's electronic invoicing mandate
Manage relationships with local tax advisors and external auditors
Maintain the company's compliance with Banco Central do Brasil reporting requirements and eFX agent obligations
Monitor Brazil's ongoing tax reform and flag implications for Outpost and our merchants
⚙️ Operations
Oversee merchant onboarding processes for Brazilian transactions, coordinating with our global ops team
Manage local banking relationships and cash management for the entity
Support commercial operations: contracts, local vendor management, regulatory correspondence
Act as the primary local point of contact for regulators, auditors, and banking partners
🔍 What we're looking for
CRC-certified Contador (mandatory)
5+ years of experience in accounting and tax compliance in Brazil, ideally in fintech, payments, or financial services
Deep working knowledge of Brazil's indirect and direct tax regime — SPED, DCTF, EFD, ISS, PIS/COFINS, NFe/NFSe
Experience with Banco Central do Brasil regulations is a strong advantage
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, internationally distributed team
Fluent in Portuguese; working English required for communication with the global team
Someone who is energised by building, not just maintaining — this entity is growing and the role will grow with it
🚀 Why Outpost
We are at an inflection point. Cross-border commerce infrastructure is one of the most important problems in global trade, and we have built something that genuinely works. You will be the person who owns Brazil — a market that sits at the centre of everything we do in Latin America — and you will have real scope and accountability from day one.
