  • Measures and records vital signs and medical histories for patients.

  • Obtains laboratory samples; Driving for specimen delivery as a backup only.

  • Performs data entry of health records.

  • Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms following patient examinations.

  • Assists with patient appointments and answer phone calls.  

  • Ensures exam rooms are appropriately stocks with needed medical supplies.

  • Secures patient information by completing and safeguarding medical records; Keeps patient information confidential.

  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.

  • 1 year job related experience working in a clinical setting. Phlebotomy experience preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills, ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees. 

  • May required working during the weekends and after hours based on the needs of the department.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $18.31 - $22.89 hourly based on qualifications

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
