Job Overview

Fairview is seeking an innovative and collaborative Manager of Research Recruitment to lead patient recruitment efforts at the Fairview Community Health & Wellness Hub in St. Paul, MN. This dynamic, hands-on leadership role focuses on developing and executing effective strategies to connect patients with meaningful clinical research opportunities.

In this position, you’ll partner with clinical and research teams to design customized recruitment plans, implement best practices, and explore new tools and technologies to improve participant engagement and retention. You’ll also guide and support a team of research staff, oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure all recruitment activities protect patient rights and meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review national best practices for patient recruitment, develop innovative solutions to reaching out to patients for reviewing potential research opportunities.
  • Assists investigators and research teams with designing a custom patient recruitment plan for each requested study.
  • Create and disseminate a repository of best practice recruitment and retention materials, templates and other resources for patient recruitment.
  • Build new research recruitment tools in Red Cap and using other appropriate IT tools.
  • Build expertise in extracting clinical information from EPIC.
  • Work with EPIC reporting to extract patient lists. Use lists to populate recruitment tools, for example, mail merge and process recruitment letters.
  • Ensures the well-being of research subjects is safeguarded and that subjects’ rights are protected.
  • Work with research study teams to submit recruitment tools to the appropriate IRB.
  • Collaborates with other departments throughout the organization to implement research projects.
  • Makes important staffing assignments to new research studies; builds new research teams for upcoming projects Manages the day-to-day scheduling and performance of assigned research staff members.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts
  • 3 years of healthcare or research experience
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Arts
  • 5 years of healthcare or research experience
  • Team management experience
  • Strategic program development
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with human subjects’ recruitment
  • Experiences with social media for business purposes
  • Clinical research certification

Compensation Disclaimer

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
