JOB POSITION

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer II to join our team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and backend components, often using Spring Boot.
• Implement and integrate core AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS into the application architecture. 
• Strong skills in Java 8 and Experience with frameworks like Spring Boot
• Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Understanding of SQL and experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
•  Familiarity with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring quality and performance. 
• Work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features. 
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications and contribute to resolving issues. 
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices. 
• Create and maintain documentation for developed applications and systems. 
• Adapt to new tools, technologies, and best practices in cloud-based software development. 
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to develop data strategies and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Should understand and have operating experience with Agile delivery model
   

QUALIFICATION
 

Full time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers)
 

EXPERIENCE
 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience as a business analyst and should have strong knowledge in Provider area, should be able to understand the mappings, define the requirements and clarify the functional and technical impediments

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
 

• Overall IT experience of 3+ years
• Must-Have:  Java/J2EE/Spring Boot Micro Services/ AWS SQS/ Kafka hands-on experience
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Ability to manage the expectations of stakeholders
• Passion about sharing knowledge and best practice
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix organizations
• Needs to be a self-starter with significant ability to undertake initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal / good negotiations skills are required.
• Should have good understand on how to write Unit test cases.
