Job Description
Reports To: QA/QC Manager
- Act as the quality liaison between Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supplier Quality.
- Interface with Manufacturing Engineers and production teams to resolve quality issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Partner with Manufacturing Operations to analyze in-process defects, escapes, and process deficiencies.
- Support production by providing real-time quality engineering guidance while maintaining compliance and process discipline.
- Interface with Supplier Quality when supplier-related issues are identified in-house.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) to initiate and drive supplier corrective actions.
- Support containment, root cause verification, and effectiveness reviews for supplier issues impacting production.
- Monitor and manage Nonconformance Report (NCR) activity.
- Lead or facilitate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCA/CAPA) using structured problem-solving methods.
- Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Monitor yield, defect trends, and process capability metrics.
- Identify adverse trends and initiate data-driven improvement actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, process stability, and operational efficiency.
- Drive compliance with ISO 9001 and internal Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Perform quality review and approval of Work Instructions and process plans (including MRO activities).
- Ensure frozen process control is maintained; evaluate and approve changes through formal change control processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing, repair, or MRO environments.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management systems.
- Experience with NCR management, RCA/CAPA, and continuous improvement tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret yield, defect, and process capability data.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and suppliers.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.

- Experience in gas turbine manufacturing, power generation, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar problem-solving methodologies.
