
Sheetfed Press Helper
Job Description

In this role, you’ll assist the Press Operator in the safe and efficient operation of a sheetfed press while gaining hands-on training and experience to grow into a Press Operator position. Ability to read a ruler and take precise measurements is required! Ruler Test will be conducted during interview! Key Responsibilities: Review job tickets to confirm ink, paper, and measurement requirements. Prepare materials and assist with feeder setup, ink, and water adjustments before press startup. Feed paper into the press and monitor product quality throughout production runs. Remove finished product from the press and place materials in designated staging areas. Inspect printed materials for defects such as scratches, spots, or quality issues. Complete skid tickets, paper usage reports, and production documentation accurately. Assist with daily press cleaning, wash-ups, and general housekeeping. Support weekly shutdown and preventative maintenance activities as assigned. Preferred Requirements: Basic knowledge of ink, water, and feeder systems (or willingness to learn). Good reading and math skills for job tickets and production documentation. Mechanical aptitude with interest in learning advanced press operations. Team-oriented, dependable, and safety-conscious. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Training: Training may be conducted at the Berryville location for up to six months or longer, as needed. Training hours may take place during the day , regardless of the shift the employee is hired for. Work Schedule: Sunday to Thursday 10pm to 6am Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm
