Role description

 

The Master Data Quality Analyst supports the organization’s data governance efforts by monitoring and improving the quality of master data across key business domains. The role focuses on applying data quality standards, tracking key metrics, and identifying issues that impact data accuracy and consistency.

Working closely with data stewards and business stakeholders, the analyst investigates data quality issues, performs root cause analysis, and helps implement improvements to data processes. The role also contributes to regular reporting on data quality performance and ensures that issues are escalated and tracked through to resolution.

 

This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.

 

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Monitor and analyze master data quality metrics to identify trends, risks, and systemic issues impacting data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Assess data quality controls and collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to investigate root causes and drive remediation.

  • Document, track, and escalate data quality issues to appropriate teams for timely resolution.

  • Support the adoption of data quality tools and governance practices, including maintaining metadata, lineage, and business glossary in Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.

  • Contribute to data quality standards, procedures, reporting, and broader data governance initiatives to enable continuous improvement.

 

Role Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science or other analytical areas. 

  • Strong understanding of master data management (MDM) concepts and data quality frameworks 

  • Proficient in SQL and data analysis techniques, with experience handling large, complex datasets 

  • Familiarity with data quality and governance tools (e.g., Informatica, SAP MDG, Collibra) 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills with high attention to detail 

  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear, business-friendly insights 

  • Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills  

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with written and verbal English.

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP certification - nice to have)
