Data & Analytics Developer
Job Description
Job Description
We are seeking a Data & Analytics Developer who combines genuine technical aptitude with deep knowledge of our business operations. This role is well suited for a high-performing individual who has developed a thorough understanding of how the business runs — its processes, data flows, and reporting needs — and is ready to apply that knowledge in a formal BI capacity. Strong business fluency and a willingness to grow technical skills are what matter most.
We anticipate hiring up to two individuals for this role — one focused on the Sales domain and one on Supply Chain. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of which area aligns most closely with their background, and hiring decisions will reflect where each individual's business knowledge is strongest.
In this role you will build and maintain analytics solutions and data products on Qlik Cloud, working in close collaboration with both the Data Engineering team and the Customer Coordination team within BI. The BI Customer Coordination team operates as the BI Center of Excellence, owning Citizen Developer enablement, business intake and prioritization coordination, and data governance for the BI organization. This role will partner with the CoE regularly to ensure that solutions are aligned with stakeholder needs, built on governed data, and delivered through coordinated intake processes. This role also carries a significant responsibility in supporting an active ERP migration — a portion of our business is transitioning from Infor BPCS (on-premises) to Infor M3 Cloud, and this individual will play a hands-on role in bridging reporting continuity across both systems during that transition.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics Development
- Design and develop Qlik Cloud applications, including data models, dashboards, and self-service analytics experiences for business stakeholders
- Build and maintain Qlik data load scripts, associative data models, and calculated measures using set analysis and advanced expressions
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, performant, and visually intuitive BI solutions
ERP & Data
- Extract, understand, and utilize data from Infor M3 Cloud ERP across relevant functional domains, including Sales, Supply Chain, pricing, invoicing, inventory, and customer master data
- Leverage your business expertise to validate data accuracy, interpret ERP transaction flows, and ensure reporting outputs reflect real-world business processes
- Source analytics-ready data primarily from a curated platinum layer in Snowflake — the preferred and intended data access point for BI development — while partnering with the data engineering team to help define, shape, and refine that layer based on your business knowledge and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with data engineering to communicate data needs clearly, identify gaps in the platinum layer, and contribute a business perspective to decisions about what data belongs there and how it should be structured
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between ERP source data and reporting outputs, applying functional knowledge to distinguish data issues from process variations
BPCS-to-M3 Migration Support
- Support the active migration of business units from Infor BPCS (on-premises) to Infor M3 Cloud by serving as a knowledgeable bridge between legacy and target system reporting
- Assist in mapping BPCS data structures, file layouts, and transaction codes to their M3 equivalents, enabling accurate and consistent BI output during and after cutover
- Help maintain reporting continuity for affected business areas throughout the transition — identifying gaps, flagging data discrepancies, and communicating impacts to stakeholders
- Participate in data validation efforts between BPCS source data and M3-migrated data to verify completeness and accuracy of historical and transactional records
- Contribute to documentation of data lineage, field mappings, and transformation logic to support the long-term maintainability of migrated BI assets
Stakeholder Partnership & Team Collaboration
- Partner closely with the BI Customer Coordination team, who serve as the primary point of contact between the BI organization and the business — supporting their efforts by serving as a dedicated BI development resource for your assigned domain (Sales or Supply Chain)
- Collaborate with Customer Coordination to ensure that stakeholder needs are translated accurately into BI solutions, and that delivered analytics align with business expectations
- Collaborate with Data Engineering on data availability, platinum layer definition, and pipeline dependencies that support BI development
- Design and contribute to data products — reusable, governed analytics assets that can be leveraged across the organization — ensuring they are well documented and built to a shared standard
- Draw on your business background to anticipate reporting needs, challenge assumptions in requirements, and propose metrics that reflect real business performance drivers
- Support user adoption through documentation, training, and hands-on enablement of end users in Qlik Cloud
Governance & Best Practices
- Follow BI team standards for development, version control, naming conventions, and documentation
- Participate in peer review and quality assurance of BI solutions prior to deployment
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, reusable components, and shared data models
Required Qualifications
- Strong documentation habits — able to capture field mappings, transformation logic, and business context in a way that supports long-term maintainability.
- Participate in CoE governance and coordination rhythms as needed, including domain-aligned steering committee touchpoints and data governance discussions.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a business operations role with demonstrated fluency in how the business operates, how transactions flow, and how performance is measured
- Meaningful exposure to Infor M3 Cloud and/or Infor BPCS ERP environments, with working knowledge of the data structures and transactional workflows relevant to your domain of expertise (Sales or Supply Chain)
- Demonstrated proficiency or strong foundational knowledge in Qlik Cloud, Qlik Sense, or QlikView development
- Solid understanding of data analysis concepts including dimensional modeling, aggregation, and KPI design
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- High degree of intellectual curiosity, self-motivation, and willingness to learn new technical skills in a hands-on environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across both Infor BPCS (on-premises) and Infor M3 Cloud environments, with familiarity in how data structures, terminology, and workflows differ between the two platforms
- Experience with Qlik Cloud features such as Automations, Qlik Application Automation, or Qlik Catalog
- Knowledge of SQL and experience querying cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
- Exposure to BI development methodologies, agile practices, or data governance frameworks
- Comfort using AI assistants such as Claude as a development accelerator — for example, prototyping and validating analytical concepts, testing logic, and exploring data questions prior to committing to full BI development
- Familiarity with scheduled report distribution concepts; experience with NPrinting or similar tools is a plus — the team is transitioning to Mail and Deploy, which will be new to everyone
Technical Environment
Analytics Platform: Qlik Cloud (Qlik Sense SaaS)
ERP System: Infor M3 Cloud
Legacy ERP: Infor BPCS (on-premises, in active migration to M3)
Data Platform: Snowflake — platinum layer (analytics-ready, preferred data source for BI development)
Reporting Tools: Mail and Deploy (transitioning from NPrinting), Tabular Reports (Qlik Cloud native), Qlik Application Automation
What Makes This Role Unique
This position is intentionally designed for a candidate who may not arrive with a traditional BI developer background. We recognize that deep operational knowledge — understanding how the business runs, how transactions move through BPCS or M3, what metrics actually matter, and where the reporting gaps live — is just as valuable as technical skill. If you understand this company and are genuinely motivated to build the analytics that run it, we will invest in your technical development.
You will work alongside experienced BI developers and data engineers, participate in structured mentorship, and have access to Qlik training resources. The BPCS-to-M3 migration also presents a unique opportunity: your business knowledge will be directly applied to one of the most impactful data projects underway, making this role both immediately meaningful and a strong foundation for long-term growth as a BI Developer.
1.Strong documentation habits — able to capture field mappings, transformation logic, and business context in a way that supports long-term maintainability.
2. Participate in CoE governance and coordination rhythms as needed, including domain-aligned steering committee touchpoints and data governance discussions.
