A Thoughtful Approach to Anesthesia Practice
You’ve developed a steady, thoughtful rhythm in your work — one built on clinical judgment, reliability, and experience. While you may not be actively seeking change, it’s worth considering opportunities where your expertise is respected, your schedule is manageable, and your practice reflects your priorities.
At Rochester Regional Health, anesthesiologists are part of a long-standing, physician-led department that values flexibility, collaboration, and professional autonomy. With five hospitals and three ambulatory surgery centers in close proximity, we’ve created a practice model that offers variety, stability, and meaningful control over your day-to-day work.
What This Role Offers
Practice across a mix of acute care hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, providing both variety and flexibility in your clinical schedule.
An equitable physician pick system that allows anesthesiologists to select daily assignments — offering a private practice feel within a stable employed model.
Balanced care model with approximately 50% personally performed cases and 50% medical direction supervising CRNAs.
Broad case mix including OB, neuro, vascular, regional/orthopedics, spine, uro/gyn, healthy pediatrics, and general surgery.
No cardiac anesthesia requirements; thoracic cases available only for those with interest.
Optional teaching opportunities and pathways for involvement in education, quality, or leadership initiatives.
A collaborative department of more than 50 anesthesiologists with stable leadership and consistently low turnover.
Call & Schedule Structure
We recognize the importance of predictability and recovery time in a sustain
able anesthesia practice.
Approximately one late call per week, typically ending between 5:00–7:00 PM on weeks without overnight call.
