Job Description

As overall vehicle EE defect engineer, you are target to consolidate and manage all defects by collaborating with testing teams and stakeholders. Defect engineer shall well understand technical issues and evaluating maturity by closely monitoring all defect progress and support the issue solving if necessary. Besides that, this role is also responsible for providing defect summary and maturity evolution to relevant stakeholders, the role need to ensure all maturity topics are closed and well handled on time without jeopardize project milestones.

Understand Telematics & ADAS & Comfort E/E domains to support defect issue resolution and testing activities

With sufficient knowhow of Telematics & ADAS & Comfort E/E domains to be able to deep dive into technical discussion with developer and stakeholders. Drive and push for issue resolution process by jointing and supporting testing activities

Consolidating and tracking all defect to ensure on time solving and handling

Define and create creative measure, process or tools for consolidation defect. Ensure proper documentation of any issue with accurate information in system. Ensure critical defect can be solved with effective measure to safeguarding project milestones

Summarize and general maturity overview with risk assessment if necessary to achieve project milestones

Generate defect summary report and make risk assessment based on defect severity and technical details. Report, update or escalate of project critical topics

Team internal support, support testing engineer, project management other test related work

  • Bachlor degree or above in electrical engineering,computer science or vehicle engineering
  • 5+ years EE development or testing working experience at OEMs or suppliers.
  • With deep understanding of technical details, vehicle architectures and testing methodologies
  • Good at multiple stakeholder management with rich communication skills
  • Sufficient experience of engineering change management or defect management
  • Creative problem-solver capable of collabrating and supporting with stakeholders in a agile way;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-responsible, strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Teamwork spirit with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. 
  • Solid knowledge of vehicle CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet and EE architecture.
  • Experienced diagnose skills, good at trace analysis, familiar to use CANoe or CANanalyzer.
  • Solid knowledge of vehicle architectures, network technologies and communication mechanisms
  • Good driving skills with valid Chinese driving license.
  • Deep understanding and experience of coding or Python/Matlab is a plus
  • Advanced MS Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  •  Fluent Chinese and English language skills and capable to work in multi-cultural environment
  • Willingness to travel inside China and abroad on test drives
