Night Shift Material Handler 12 Hour Shifts

  Job Title: Material Handler (Night Shift) Schedule: 5:45PM – 6:00AM Rotating 2-2-3 Location: Grand Rapids, MI Job Description Material Handlers are responsible for moving goods throughout the facility, assisting in maintaining the warehouse properly, and keeping materials organized.   Benefits of working for Pregis 401K with company match Enrollment in benefits within first month of employment 12 paid holidays annually Professional growth opportunities   Responsibilities Safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unloading trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed. Help keep the warehouse clean and organized daily to ensure product can be located easily and efficiently. Perform daily inventory as needed to provide information for any necessary adjustments. Communicate information to the appropriate people. Coordinate scrap material storage as needed. Oversee changes to the department storage floor plan. Communicate information to the appropriate people. Coordinate storage locations. May be required to perform material move transactions in Business One as needed. Keep work areas clean following 5S guidelines.  Other miscellaneous responsibilities as deemed necessary. Ability to work Overtime as business demands – overtime is not guaranteed and should not be considered a part of your guaranteed Full-time hours. Manufacturing experience is a plus.  Sit-down forklift experience preferred. Able to work a 12-hour shift. Ability to work overtime as needed.     Position Type Full time. Physical Requirements Sitting (Constantly – up to 12 hours).  Standing (Constantly – up to 12 hours).  Walking up/downstairs (several times daily).  Walking (Constantly up to 12 hours).  Lifting/Carrying (regularly up to 12 hours – a minimum of 75 lbs.).    #flex
