About the Role

Prime Communications is excited to offer an internal growth opportunity for high-performing leaders ready to take the next step in their career. The Area Manager role expands leadership responsibility beyond a single store, providing oversight of two retail locations while developing the skills needed for future District-level leadership.

This position is ideal for strong Retail Store Managers or experienced Assistant Store Managers who consistently deliver results, lead teams effectively, and demonstrate readiness to influence performance across multiple locations.


What You’ll Do

As an Area Manager, you will continue to lead from the front while expanding your impact across two stores:

Sales, Service & Customer Experience

  • Own sales performance, customer experience, and reputation metrics for two assigned locations.
  • Model and reinforce the customer behaviors that define the AT&T experience.
  • Coach Store Managers, ASMs, and RSCs to consistently meet or exceed sales and service goals.
  • Actively support teams on the sales floor and assist with customer interactions when needed.
  • Conduct regular role plays, live coaching, and performance discussions to reinforce “what right looks like.”
  • Serve as an escalation point for customer concerns, billing issues, and operational discrepancies.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, inspire, and develop store leadership teams.
  • Create a positive, accountable culture where employees feel supported and challenged to grow.
  • Partner with the District Manager on staffing plans, talent development, and succession readiness.
  • Ensure all team members understand the compensation plan and how to maximize earning potential.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure consistent execution of Prime Communications and AT&T operational standards across both stores.
  • Maintain high standards for store appearance, inventory accuracy, and back-office compliance.
  • Ensure timely completion of all required AT&T and Prime training.
  • Protect company assets and maintain operational readiness.

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales, service, and operational goals

  • Are open to feedback and motivated by growth and advancement
  • Have reliable transportation and flexibility to support two stores within close proximity

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of retail sales management experience
  • 3+ years of full-time retail experience
  • Working knowledge of AT&T products, promotions, and systems preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work on the sales floor
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and assist with inventory as needed
  • Ability to accurately complete sales processes and handle cash transactions
  • Completion of all required AT&T and Prime Communications training
