Job Description
Fleetway is seeking Mechanical Designers to join our team! In this role, you’ll contribute to marine design and integration projects, supporting advanced mechanical system modelling for naval and commercial vessels. We are primarily looking for intermediate and senior technologists with strong technical depth, sound judgement, and experience collaborating across disciplines. We also welcome early‑career candidates who bring hands‑on experience with CAD tools and a solid understanding of mechanical or marine systems. You will develop and interpret detailed 3D models of piping and HVAC systems, verify model accuracy, and help resolve integration issues. The role involves reviewing legacy vessel documentation, incorporating approved engineering changes, and maintaining accurate project records. Working closely with structural, outfitting, and electrical teams—and leveraging coordination tools such as Navisworks—you’ll support seamless system integration throughout the design process. This is an ideal opportunity for technologists who thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated to contribute to complex marine platforms. If you’re passionate about meaningful design work in Canada’s marine defence sector, we’d love to hear from you. We're committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fleetway is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from all qualified individuals, including those from underrepresented groups, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
