
Secretary-Administrative Assistant I
Job Description
This is a full-time, twelve-month, Secretary (Administrative Assistant I) position at Postlethwait Middle School.
This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, discretion with confidential information, professional verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must possess excellent secretarial and interpersonal skills, as they will be interacting with students, parents/guardians, and other school district personnel on a regular basis. The candidate should be proficient in Infinite Campus, Microsoft Office (excel), Google Docs, Office finances and telephone protocol. The candidate must be able to work independently and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Principal. Successful school secretary experience is strongly preferred.

- District Middle School Athletics
- School-based Club accounts
- Administrative calendar
- Infinite Campus
- Scheduling
- AESOP / DSC- staff coverage schedule
- Grade checks
- Front office coverage
- Tracking of District Middle School Calendar of events
SALARY: In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
- All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
- Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
