Booking.com is seeking a Part Time Legal Operations Specialist to join our team in Tel Aviv. Please apply with a CV in English.
This is an excellent, entry level opportunity to gain experience in the legal field and would be suitable for law students who want to learn and to develop their skills.
Hours: Average 22 hours per week
Location: Hybrid - two days per week in Tel Aviv office however you must also be willing to travel within Tel Aviv or domestically for events/meetings.
We will require flexibility in working hours, as hearings can take place in the early morning or evening hours.
It is important for the candidates to have a car, as travel across the country will be required
This role will assist two business entities in Israel with various admin tasks, mainly those related to legal. It will be the “go to” person for all legal matters in the office, and requires someone with a flexible approach to work and with an interest in all things legal.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of legal and court materials in coordination with our law firm - mainly administrative tasks, postage, email correspondence etc.
- Attend Small Claims Court hearings when needed in various locations across Israel.
- Liaise with our law firm when needed.
- Work with internal stakeholders.
- Assist with other admin tasks as required.
Requirements of special knowledge/skills
- Bachelor degree
- Ideal for a student or someone with experience or interested in law.
- Some familiarity with the Israeli law system.
- Strong communication skills.
- Written and oral expression skills- Ability to formulate legal documents, accurately, and eloquently (when attending court hearings).
- Proficiency in Office applications, with an emphasis on Word and Excel.
- Attention to detail- Ability to distinguish small details.
- Good business level of Hebrew and English.
- An interest in law, particularly in the field of consumer protection law.
