Registered Nurse (RN) - Electrophysiology

This position will perform a variety of roles, including monitoring, assisting the physician scrubbing procedures, and using the pacing stimulator. 

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. 
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. 
• Position renders individualized, age-specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. 
• Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. 
• May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agency(ies), as required. 
• Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcomes. 

• Special Skills 
  •  Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members are required.  
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure.  
  • Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and wearing the additional weight of lead aprons during procedures.  
  • Excellent customer service skills.  
  • Must have basic computer skills 
• Minimum Requirements 
  • Experience: A minimum of 1+ years Emergency Department, ICU or Procedural setting nursing experience may be considered. 
  • Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school 
  • Certifications: 
    • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.  
    • Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider  
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews every two years. 
• Preferred Requirements 
• Experience:  
  • CVICU or ICU or min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown 
  • At least one (1) year of prior Cardiac Cath/ EP Lab experience  
  • Hemodynamics experience  
• Education: BSN 
• Certifications:  
  • Certification in specialty area of practice  
  • Certified as a Critical Care Nurse (CCRN)
