The Opportunity
The AI Governance Program Manager owns the day‑to‑day operation of the enterprise AI governance program, ensuring AI initiatives are governed consistently, transparently, and in alignment with enterprise guardrails, risk management expectations, and policy requirements. This role translates responsible AI principles, risk guidance, and governance standards into executable processes, documentation requirements, and checkpoints that scale with AI adoption.
The role works closely with Enterprise Data & AI leadership, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and business stakeholders to ensure governance expectations are clearly understood, proportionate to risk, and applied consistently across AI initiatives. The AI Governance Program Manager enables responsible AI adoption by providing structure, visibility, and coordination without personally serving as a policy‑setting, risk‑acceptance, or technical review authority.
A Day in the Life
- Coordinates structured governance intake processes and ensures documentation standards are applied consistently.
- Own and coordinate structured AI governance intake workflows once AI use cases are formally proposed
- Ensure required governance documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned to enterprise standards
- Apply consistent documentation templates, evidence requirements, and artifact expectations
- Ensure governance checkpoints are completed prior to key delivery milestones
- Clarify governance requirements, timelines, and responsibilities for delivery teams and sponsors
- Define and maintain the end to end governance lifecycle for AI initiatives, from intake through production use and eventual decommissioning
- Act as the primary orchestration point between Enterprise Data & AI teams and risk related stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Model Risk, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, Risk or related fields
- Current AIGP or similar certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in business process, compliance, legal, privacy or program coordination
- Recent GenAI and Agentic AI- related certifications and education preferred
- Experience operating structured AI Governance, policy oversight, risk, compliance or business processes
- Experience working across business, technology, and risk stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Equity
$95,800.00 - $124,500.00Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
