
Maintenance and Engineering Technician II
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Support routine maintenance of facility infrastructure—lighting, plumbing, HVAC, dock doors, racking systems, and general building systems.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Freon refrigeration systems, upholding strict safety and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment and facility control systems.
- Document maintenance activities and communicate updates to leadership.
- Maintain a safe, organized workspace and support continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- · Prior hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or building systems preferred.
- 2+ year of experience or trade school training in facility, equipment, or refrigeration maintenance (Freon).
- Hands-on experience with freon refrigeration systems preferred.
- Universal EPA Certification required
- Skilled with hand and power tools; basic computer proficiency.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in cold or warm environments (-20°F to 100°F).
- Flexible availability, including weekends or overtime as needed.
