Baptist Medical Center hiring a Physical Therapist to join our acute care rehab services team. This is a part-time position located at the Baptist Clay location in Fleming Island (Clay County). This position will support Day shift coverage (~24 hours per week) and participate in a weekend coverage rotation.  

We are looking to add a part-time Physical Therapist to our inpatient, acute care team. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in acute care, ortho, neuro, wound care, hand therapy and splinting experience. Caseload includes various diagnoses - neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other Baptist campuses in Jacksonville, FL for coverage purposes as needed. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy treatment to patients in an adult acute care, hospital inpatient setting.
• Provides patient care to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
• Provides minimal outpatient care, mainly for neuro patients and upper extremity wounds (job competency training available).
• Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities.
• Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines.
• Participates in mandatory education and licensure requirements.
• Provides ongoing patient and family education.

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy Required
• Licensed Physical Therapist from FL Department of Health Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required

Baptist Clay Medical Campus is located on 32 acres at U.S. 17 and Village Square Parkway on Fleming Island. The facility opened in 2022 to bring the high-quality care of Baptist Health to residents of Clay County.
