Job Description

Legal Excellence

  • Contractual Strategy: Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and advise stakeholders on contract-related matters.
  • Advanced Legal Research & Advisory: Provide legal assessments requested by regional office or local stakeholders from time to time. 
  • Corporate Secretarial Management: Preparation of board resolutions, annual declarations to the Ministry of Commerce, and ensure compliance with the Law on Commercial Enterprises.
  • Legal Operations & Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements for the local legal function. 

Public Affairs & Compliance 

  • Licensing & Regulatory Compliance: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of critical licenses (E-commerce, Postal, and Data Privacy). Ensure the business meets all MOPT and MoC compliance requirements to prevent operational downtime. 
  • Government Relations & Advocacy: Act as the company’s authoritative voice with the Royal Government of Cambodia. Build consensus with regulators (MoC, MOPT, GDT) to support the platform's strategic goals and shape favorable policy environments. 
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Act as a resource for internal teams and provide guidance to junior staff. Represent the company in industry associations to monitor and influence the legislative roadmap.
  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Law or another related field.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in legal and compliance roles
  • Strong understanding of Cambodian legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Review and provide assistance in the preparation and execution of all legal agreements and contracts requested by various divisions within the organization.
  • Build and maintain a robust legal framework by standardizing agreement types and Service Level Agreements for each agreement category.
  • Excellent skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial and legal agreements under Cambodian law.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess legal and compliance risks and develop effective solutions within the Cambodian context.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Khmer and English
